Kara is an account management veteran who has worked in the advertising agency and marketing business for over 20 years, delivering long term strategic leadership and counsel to her clients and teams with the goal of developing lasting, mutually beneficial and results focused collaborations. Kara also spent about 3 years in a corporate marketing role so she could better understand what it was like to be a client. Her tenure includes innovative and award-winning work for boutique agencies, digital firms and large, global organizations with roles in account management, new business and integrated marketing leadership. Her experience spans diverse business categories, including entertainment and media (Hasbro, ABC, Thomson Reuters), healthcare and medical device (UnitedHealth Group, Medtronic), retail and transportation (Target, Meijer Grocery, FedEx and FedEx Office), and energy and utilities (Phillips 66 and Pentair). She has a special passion for challenger brands and loves to leverage the intersection of strategic insights and technology to advance them. Along with her account management expertise, Kara also has a strategy planning and operations background which is advantageous to her clients and agency peers. Kara is a journalist by trade and her writing has been featured in Ad Age. She dedicates her free time to civic and global organizations, with a special focus on arts/theatre, animal welfare and women’s advancement.
